Like every good story, mine has it's own twists and turns with moments of inspiration that led me to where I am today.
In the early 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s everyone was working on speed - striving for those nano seconds.
Life was hurried - stress high! (Kind of like it is now) I had to learn how to not just manage my time but create “white” space for myself on purpose. A space of calmness, some wellness routines, so I could fight whatever dragons came my way on any given day. The ability to swing my sword so-to-speak, so I could keep my sanity. I would learn to Lift Myself First so I could lift others later.
There were many intersections in my life that changed it completely.
But, I eventually left IT and the digital world of marketing, received a certification as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor with a specialty in geriatrics. I landed on my feet serving at a senior living community that offered a 20 acre area campus of townhomes, independent living as well as assisted living.
Then the real storm came (as you know) that affected the whole world. I stayed where I was to serve my people in a different way. No group classes so I instructed in different ways - individually and with paper. As a director I served in the trenches with our dear chef delivering, serving and giving food.
This period tested my endurance, my resolve, my strength. Most of all I was starting to lose my confidence. My self-confidence and cheerfulness was waning and I had to keep lifting myself so I could lift others.
It wasn’t easy but I learned to stay tough and cheerful in the midst of chaos. I learned a new inner calmness while serving in a pretty prison.
This is a place for encouragement and something you can do now for free, with no agenda.
I invite you to join us on this quest of self-reliance. Whether you are looking for encouragement or pain relief. To Lift Up is here to help you overcome your griefs and offer a lift up.
Together we can offer and receive lifts of encouragement and enjoy gladness along the way.
I'm helping others maintain their self-confidence and self-reliance. I believe that in lifting yourself first you can then help others to stand. Lifting each other in the process.

What makes To Lift Up unique is what it is NOT. Unlike others, we know that you have already been there, done that - you just need something, a little something now. Encouragements to keep going. It is a platform for relief.
A reminder of who you already are as you start a new day.
